Street Light Maintenance
The Borough is aware of the inordinate number of street lights that are currently not working. A Borough wide survey was performed by our Police Department at the end February, and the results were forwarded to JCP&L. JCP&L is responsible for street light maintenance. The Borough approved additional street lighting and contracted with JCP&L in mid-2023 to install the lights. Our governing body has been in contact with representatives from JCP&L in regards the lack of action on both issues.
Going forward, our Police Department will be performing routine surveys of the lighting within the Borough, and we will send the results to JCP&L. You can report street light outages directly to JCP&L through their website:
