Job Description:

Florham Park DPW is seeking an experienced, full-time lead mechanic to oversee the maintenance garage. The applicant should have experience with ordering parts, scheduling vehicles for service and overseeing day-to-day operations.  They should have broad mechanical experience, with welding and fabrication experience a plus.  Duties will include, but are not limited to, maintenance and repair of gas- and diesel-powered cars, trucks, and heavy equipment, and landscaping and grounds equipment. Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems is required.  A valid NJ Class B CDL is preferred, or it will be required to be obtained within one year of employment.  CDL training done in-house. Applicant must be available for emergency call-outs and overtime and must pass a physical and drug and alcohol screening.
